IMPORTANT: Mark your measurements
clearly, and always double check your markings and alignment
before drilling!

Note: The further in the Floor Socket and Floor Plate
are placed from the opening edge of the door, the farther
the door will open in a safe viewing postion.
Locate the Plastic Floor Socket, Floor Plate,
and two #8 x 1" Screws.
Place edge of Floor Plate against threshold. The hole in
the Floor Plate is off set more to one side of the plate.
Position Floor Plate so that the 5/8" hole is closest
to the threshold, and that it is 3" in from the edge
of the door as shown in 1A.
Next, mark the area where you will later drill the 5/8"
hole for the Plastic Floor Socket. A drill template is provided
as a pdf file that you can print and use to mark your holes.
You can download the template here.
Fold the template where indicated and then place it on the
door edge. Now, mark the screw holes with a pencil or pen.
After double checking your measurements, drill a 5/8"
hole in the floor approximately 2 1/4" deep. Insert
the Plastic Floor Socket and place Floor Plate over the
socket, secure with screws as shown in 1B.
Note: You will want to drill 1/8" pilot holes
for the screws before securing. Use the template here
to drill your screw holes.

Now
locate your Plastic Door Base Plate. It should be placed
2 1/4" from the floor and the edge aligns with the
center of the screw in the Floor Plate as shown in 2A.
Check your alignment before making any screw holes by inserting
the Angle Bar into the Floor Plate, long end first. The
horizontal portion of the Bar should be directly in the
center of the Door Base Plate. If it is not, make necessary
adjustments. See 2B.
Now
that you have double checked your alignment, you are ready
to insert the Guard Liner into the Guard holder as shown
in 2C.
Secure the Plastic Door Base Plate, the Plastic Guard Liner
and the Guard Holder to the door with two #8 x 1" screws.
See 2D.
